(국영문 동시배포) ‘고창 고인돌 유적’ 등 국내외 거석기념물의 경관 복원 연구성과 공유

국가유산청 국립문화유산연구원 국립완주문화유산연구소(소장 이규훈)는 고창군(군수 심덕섭)과 함께 9월 3일 오전 9시 고창 웰파크호텔 컨벤션센터(전북 고창군)에서 「고창 고인돌 유적의 형성과 경관 복원」을 주제로 국제학술대회를 개최한다. 이번 학술대회는 세계유산 고창 고인돌 유적의 형성 과정과 공간적 특성을 종합적으로 살펴보고, 당시의 경관을 복원하기 위한 연구 성과와 방법론을 국내외 전문가들과 함께 논의하기 위해 마련되었다. 특히 일본, 중국, 영국 등 해외 거석기념물의 연구 사례를 함께 검토하고, 고창 고인돌 유적의 세계사적 가치와 보존·활용 방향을 논의할 예정이다. 고창 고인돌 유적은 수백 기 이상의 고인돌이 밀집 분포하고, 탁자식, 기반식, 개석식 등 다양한 형식이 확인되는 세계적인 거석기념물 유적이다. 이러한 가치를 인정받아 화순, 강화 고인돌 유적과 함께 2000년 유네스코 세계유산으로 등재되었으며, 이후 지속적인 조사연구와 보존관리가 이루어지고 있다. * 탁자식(卓子式): 지상에 판석으로 무덤방을 만든 후 그 위로 뚜껑돌을 덮은 형식 * 기반식(碁盤式): 무덤방을 만든 후 주위에 받침돌을 놓고 그 위로 뚜껑돌을 덮은 형식 * 개석식(蓋石式): 지하에 무덤방을 만든 후 받침돌 없이 바로 위에 뚜껑돌을 덮은 형식 학술대회는 기조강연과 8개의 주제발표, 종합토론 순으로 진행된다. 기조강연에서는 하문식 연세대학교 교수가 ‘세계 거석문화 속의 고창 고인돌’을 주제로 고창 고인돌 유적의 세계사적 의미를 조명한다. 이어지는 주제발표에서는 ▲ ‘고창 고인돌 유적 군집 유형 재분류 및 입지 특성 분석'(강석주, 국립완주문화유산연구소), ▲ ‘고창 고인돌 유적 축조석재의 기술적 선택과 조달전략'(윤호필·김규정, 상주박물관·전북문화유산연구원), ▲ ‘고창 고인돌 유적 주변 충적평야 일대의 고환경 복원을 위한 예비 조사'(류춘길, 한국지질환경연구소), ▲ ‘거석기념물 관점에서 본 고창 고인돌 유적의 경관 형성과 인식'(김종일, 서울대학교)을 통해 고창 고인돌 유적의 형성과 경관을 다각도로 살펴본다. 또한 ▲ ‘일본 지석묘의 형성과 경관'(히라고리 타츠야, 시마네대학), ▲ ‘중국 요동반도 석붕의 문화 계보'(화위빙, 요령대학), ▲ ‘복원, 구조 그리고 연구: 영국의 거석기념물과 그 경관의 관리'(수전 그레이니, 엑시터대학) 등 세계 각지 거석기념물의 형성과 경관 복원 성과를 검토한다. 주제발표가 끝난 뒤에는 이영문 동북아지석묘연구소장을 좌장으로, 손준호(고려대학교), 이명성(국립문화유산연구원), 강동석(성균관대학교), 김진환(민족문화유산연구원), 조진선(전남대학교), 고일홍(서울대학교 아시아연구소) 등 전문가들이 참여하는 종합토론이 진행된다. 이번 학술대회는 홍보물(포스터) 내 정보 무늬(QR코드)를 촬영해 사전접수하거나, 당일 현장 등록을 통해 누구나 참석할 수 있다. 자세한 내용은 전화(☎063-290-9324)로 문의하면 된다. 국립문화유산연구원 국립완주문화유산연구소는 이번 국제학술대회를 계기로 국내외 거석기념물 연구자 간 학술교류를 더욱 활성화하고, 세계유산 고창 고인돌 유적에 대한 조사연구 성과를 국제사회와 공유해 나갈 계획이다.The Wanju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage (Director: Lee Kyu-hoon) of the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage under the Korea Heritage Service, in collaboration with Gochang County (Governor: Sim Deok-seop), will host an international academic conference on the theme of “The Formation and Landscape Restoration of the Gochang Dolmen Site” at 09:00 a.m. on September 3 at the Gochang Wellpark Hotel Convention Center. This academic conference was organized to comprehensively examine the formation process and spatial characteristics of the Gochang Dolmen Site, a World Heritage site, and to discuss research findings and methodologies for restoring the landscape of that era with experts from Korea and abroad. In particular, the conference will review case studies of megalithic monuments from countries such as Japan, China, and the United Kingdom to discuss the global historical value of the Gochang Dolmen Site and directions for its preservation and utilization. The Gochang Dolmen Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a world-renowned site of megalithic monuments featuring a dense concentration of hundreds of dolmens, including various types such as table-type, go-board-type, and capstone-type dolmens. In recognition of this value, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000 alongside the Hwasun and Ganghwa Dolmen Sites, and has since been the subject of ongoing research and conservation efforts. The academic conference will proceed in the following order: a keynote address, eight thematic presentations, and a general discussion. In the keynote address, Professor Ha Moon-sig of Yonsei University will shed light on the global historical significance of the Gochang dolmen site under the theme ‘Gochang Dolmens in the Context of Global Megalithic Cultures.’ The following presentations are scheduled: ▲’Reclassification of the Gochang Dolmen Site Clusters and Analysis of Their Location Characteristics’ (Kang Seok-ju, Wanju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage), ▲’Technological Choices and Procurement Strategies for Construction Stones at the Gochang Dolmen Site'(Yun Ho-pil and Kim Gyu-joung, Sangju-Museum and Jeonbuk Cultural Property Research Institute), ▲’Preliminary Survey for the Reconstruction of the Paleoenvironment in the Alluvial Plain Surrounding the Gochang Dolmen Sites'(Ryu Choon-kil, Korea Institute of Geological Environment), ▲’Landscape Formation and Perception of the Gochang Dolmen Site from the Perspective of Megalithic Monuments'(Kim Jong-il, Seoul National University). These presentations will examine the formation and landscape of the Gochang dolmen sites from multiple perspectives. In addition, ▲’The Formation and Landscape of Japanese Dolmens'(Tatsuya Hiragori, Shimane University), ▲’The Cultural Lineage of dolmen on the Liaodong Peninsula, China'(Hua Weibing, Liaoning University), ▲’Restoration, rescue and research: managing megalithic monuments in Britain'(Susan Greaney, University of Exeter), and other presentations will examine the formation of megalithic monuments and achievements in landscape restoration from around the world. Following the presentation, Director Lee Young-moon of the Research Center of Dolmens in Northeast Asia will moderate a panel discussion featuring experts including Son Joon-ho(Korea University), Lee Myeong-seong(National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage), Kang Dong-seok(Sungkyunkwan University), Kim Jin-hwan(National Cultural Heritage Insutitute), Cho Jin-sun(Chonnam National University), and Ko Il-hong(Seoul National University Asia Center).
