(국영문 동시배포) 조선·청·응우옌 왕조의 역사 기록 방식, 어떤 점이 같고 다를까

국가유산청 국립고궁박물관 국립조선왕조실록박물관(관장 김정임, 이하 ‘실록박물관’)은 부산박물관(관장 정은우)과 공동으로 7월 24일 오후 1시부터 부산박물관 강당에서 「동아시아 왕실의 실록 편찬과 위상」 국제학술대회를 개최한다. 이번 학술대회는 제48차 유네스코 세계유산위원회의 부산 개최를 계기로, 유네스코 세계기록유산인 『조선왕조실록』의 가치를 널리 알리고 동아시아 왕실이 역사를 편찬하고 보존해 온 체계와 그 위상을 비교·고찰하기 위해 마련되었다. 한국·중국·베트남의 연구자와 기록유산 전문가들이 한자리에 모여 각국 왕실 실록의 편찬 방식과 물질적 특징, 전승 과정을 살펴본다. 특히 국립고궁박물관과 부산박물관이 공동 개최하는 특별전 「조선의 기록과 문화, 만세에 전하노니」(7.7.~8.30.)와 연계 진행해, 주요 전시 유물 중 하나인 『조선왕조실록』의 역사와 가치를 동아시아적 관점의 학술 논의로 확장하는 기회가 될 것이다. 학술대회는 오항녕 전주대학교 명예교수의 기조강연 ▲ 동아시아 실록 편찬의 역사성으로 시작한다. 동아시아에서 실록이 성립하고 변화해 온 역사적 맥락을 짚고, 왕실의 공식 기록이 지닌 정치적·문화적 의미를 조망한다. 이어서 진행되는 주제발표에서는 총 4건의 논의가 펼쳐진다. 먼저 조선시대 실록 편찬 체계의 변화와 특징을 살펴보는 ▲『조선왕조실록』 편찬 방식의 변화(강문식, 숭실대학교), 물질적 기반을 중심으로 실록을 분석하는 ▲『조선왕조실록』 형태와 재질을 통해서 본 왕실 기록의 특징과 위상(최현욱, 국가기록원) 발표가 진행된다. 뒤이어 중국의 실록 편찬과 전승·활용 과정을 살펴보는 ▲ 『청실록』의 역사와 일본에서의 초기 유포·활용-『청삼조실록』을 중심으로(샹쉬안(项旋), 중국인민대학), 베트남 왕조별 역사서 편찬의 전개와 특징을 소개하는 ▲ 13~20세기 중반 베트남 왕실의 실록 편찬(레 투이 린(Lê Thùy Linh), 베트남사회과학원) 발표가 이어진다. 각 주제발표 후에는 김문식 단국대학교 교수, 정선화 국립문화유산연구원 학예연구사, 거샤오한(葛小寒) 북경사범대학 교수, 조호연 동북아역사재단 연구위원이 참여하는 지정토론이 이어지고, 마지막으로 오항녕 전주대학교 명예교수를 좌장으로 발표자와 토론자 전원이 참여하는 종합토론과 청중 질의응답을 진행한다. 학술대회는 별도의 사전 신청 없이 당일 현장 등록만으로 누구나 참석할 수 있다. 원활한 국제 학술교류를 위해 한국어·중국어·영어·베트남어 동시통역도 제공한다. 보다 자세한 내용은 실록박물관 누리집(https://sillok.gogung.go.kr/)을 참고하거나 전화(☎033-330-7933)로 문의하면 된다. 국립고궁박물관 국립조선왕조실록박물관은 이번 학술대회가 동아시아 각국이 왕조의 역사를 기록하고 전승해 온 방식의 공통점과 차이를 깊이 이해하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다. 앞으로도 『조선왕조실록』의 세계적 가치를 널리 알리고 국내외 연구자들과의 학술교류를 지속적으로 확대하는 한편, 지역 문화기관과의 협력을 통해 국민의 문화유산 향유 기회를 넓히는 적극행정을 이어갈 예정이다.The National Museum of the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty (Director Kim Jungim), part of the National Palace Museum of Korea under the Korea Heritage Service, will jointly hold the international conference “The Compilation and Significance of Royal Annals in East Asia” with Busan Museum (Director Jung Eun-woo) at the Busan Museum auditorium from 1:00 p.m. on July 24.The conference has been organized on the occasion of the ongoing 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Busan to widely promote the value of The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty (Joseon wangjo sillok), a UNESCO Memory of the World, and to comparatively examine the systems through which East Asian royal courts compiled and preserved their histories and the significance of those records. Researchers and documentary heritage experts from Korea, China, and Vietnam will convene and examine the compilation methods, material characteristics, and transmission processes of each country’s royal annals.Also in association with the special exhibition “Timeless Legacy: Records and Culture of the Joseon Dynasty” (July 7–August 30), jointly organized by the National Palace Museum of Korea and Busan Museum, the conference is expected to expand the history and value of The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, one of the major exhibits, into a subject of academic discourse from a broader East Asian perspective.The conference will begin with the keynote lecture “The Compilation of the Authentic Records (The Annals) in Asia: Past Encourages Present” by Oh Hang-Nyeong, Professor Emeritus at Jeonju University. The lecture will examine the historical context of the emergence and development of the annals in East Asia along with the political and cultural significance of the official records at the royal court.The main presentations will discuss four themes: First, in his “Characteristics and Changes in the Compilation of the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty by Period,” Kang Moonshik, Professor at Soongsil University, will examine the changes in and characteristics of the annal compilation system during the Joseon Dynasty. Second, in “Form and Material Analysis of the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty: Characteristics and Status of Royal Records,” Choi Hyun-wook, Curator at the National Archives of Korea, will present his material analysis of the Joseon Annals. Third, Xiang Xuan (项旋), Professor at Renmin University of China, will examine the compilation process, transmission, and use of Chinese annals in “The History of the Qing Annals and Their Early Dissemination and Utilization in Japan.” Last but not least, Lê Thùy Linh, Senior Researcher at the Institute of History, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, will introduce the development and characteristics of historical compilation under successive Vietnamese dynasties in “The Compilation of Royal Annals in Vietnam from the 13th to the Mid-20th Century.”Each thematic presentation will be followed by discussions involving the following designated participants: Kim Moon-sik, Professor at Dankook University; Jeong Seonhwa, Curator at the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage; Ge Xianhan (葛小寒), Professor at Beijing Normal University; and Johoyeon, Research Fellow at the Northeast Asian History Foundation. Finally, there will be a general discussion involving all presenters and discussants, with Prof. Oh Hang-Nyeong serving as the chair, and a subsequent Q&A session with the audience.The conference is open to everyone; no application is required in advance.
